Introduction

Background

Modern plant breeding is supposed to be a data driven process. Therefore, standardized experiment design and statistical analysis are needed. AgriOS is a statistics compute engine designed for system integration, which can provide services for statistical analysis of plant breeding. It is based on command line and API, and can facilitate the integration to the current or future system of breeding companies. Users (breeding companies and institutes) do not have to build a specialized IT or statistics team to apply AgriOS, or purchase costly local or cloud server. With a simple command line, the user will receive results of analysis. Payment will be made only for the computation that actually happens, which can greatly reduce the cost for the user.

Solution

AgriOS supports field trial design, quality control of phenotypic data, spatial correction, and the calculation of heritibility, stability of varieties and breeding values. The design of AgriOS is based on web service and API which facilitates the system integration of breeding pipeline. Alongside the API service, consultant services are also provided by BioBin.
